For the next few months, members are asked to make Half Log Cabin blocks for baby quilts. Members can make one block, a bunch of blocks, or even an entire quilt. (Nine blocks will make a 36" square quilt without sashing. Twelve blocks will make a 36" x 48" quilt more suitable for toddlers and older children.)
Please make as many as you like.
See the Charity Page for more information on the block.

Baby Quilt Blocks
Let's make some stars for baby quilts. Cluck Cluck Sew has a really neat and fun star to make that is practically fail-proof! You might even call it magic. Why, you ask. Because you can't cut off your star points with this neat and easy way of making stars. Give it a try and bring a few stars to a meeting this summer, and we'll make more baby quilts. You can use patriotic colors, bright colors, pastel colors, whatever makes you happy.

Baby Quilt Challenge
Ready for a challenge?
The Wednesday Group cut a bunch of 6" squares for members to make a baby quilt for donation. The squares are bagged and will be available for pick up at the March meeting on Thursday, March 3rd.
Each bag has 36 (more or less) printed squares. As you can see above, they are very cute and primary colors will go well with them. There will be some solid colored squares you can choose to go with the print or you can use your own fabrics to make any quilt you like - squares, rectangles, strips, half square triangles.
Just bring back a finished quilt (or top) this summer and we'll get it to someone who needs it.
Thank you for your participation!
